Our Handmade Process
At Powerug, every rug is carefully made by hand using a detailed tufting process that combines skill, patience, and premium materials. Each piece goes through several steps to ensure quality, durability, and a clean finish.
1. Design Preparation
Every rug starts with a design. This can be a custom idea from a client or a pre-made concept. The design is carefully planned and transferred onto a tufting cloth stretched tightly on a frame.
2. Tufting Process
We use a professional tufting gun to bring the design to life. High-quality 100% acrylic yarn is inserted into the tufting cloth by hand, line by line. This step gives the rug its texture, shape, and depth.
3. Securing the Backing
Once the tufting is complete, we apply a strong layer of latex adhesive glue on the back. This locks the yarn in place and ensures the rug is durable and long-lasting.
4. Adding the Base Layer
After the glue sets, a secondary backing layer is applied for extra strength and stability. This also helps protect the rug and improve its structure.
5. Cutting & Finishing
The front of the rug is carefully trimmed and shaped to refine the design. We then clean and finish the surface to make sure every detail looks sharp and professional.
6. Anti-Slip Application
Finally, we add an anti-slip backing to ensure the rug stays stable when placed on the floor, making it safe and practical for everyday use.
